Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

Educationally, my background is in corporate finance and economics. Having worked in risk management in banking, I taught myself SQL and Python to try and figure out how to move faster than the antiquated systems at the banks where I worked.

That led me to a career in semiconductors, leading analytical efforts at Intel for 6 years before landing a role at Ampere Computing, where I oversee all data efforts as well as IT operations.

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

Folks can argue an idea… but they cannot argue an actual outcome.

What is the greatest challenge your particular C-level role is facing today, and how are you addressing it?

AI and the hype behind AI is a challenge. There are effective use cases and many more ineffective use cases. Managing expectations and spending is very critical.

What is the key to success for someone just starting out in your C-level role?

Continue to learn and adapt. Technology changes, and those that engrain themselves in only what they know, fall behind not just technologically, but in their ability to manage talent as well.

How do you measure success as a leader?

I measure success by how empathetic the leader is. Do they care? Can they make difficult decisions even though they care?

What is the value of being a member of the Evanta community?

In any organization, I am now one of one employee with my job. Having a community of peers gives me an outlet to manage ideas, thoughts, and concerns.
