Organisations are placing elevated expectations on leaders and managers, demanding multifaceted skillsets and enhanced adaptability in an ever-changing business landscape to guide teams toward successful outcomes. However, a Gartner study reveals that 75% of HR leaders say that their managers are overwhelmed by the growth of their job responsibilities and 73% say that these managers are not equipped with the skills to lead change. Rather than only enforcing more training and skill development programs, CHROs must create a strategic vision to enhance manager capability and effectiveness in meeting rapidly evolving business expectations.
In this interactive conversation among peers, CHROs will discuss and debate solutions to level up leadership and empower managers to successfully lead amid ongoing uncertainty and disruption.
Topic 1: Creating Effective Manager Development Pathways
- What factors contribute to the success or failure of your current manager development initiatives?
- Have you integrated technology or other innovative methods to ensure leadership development programs stay relevant?
- What key performance indicators do you use to measure the success of your manager development initiatives?
Topic 2: Evolving the Job Itself and Resetting Role Expectations
- What key skills do you believe are currently lacking in managers in your organisation? How do you address this gap?
- What strategies have you put in place to empower managers to connect employees with others for coaching and development?
- When faced with changes, how do you enable your managers to adapt and guide their teams through transitions?
18:45 - 19:15 Networking Break
19:15 - 20:30 Summary Discussion & Dinner
20:30 - 21:30 Social Hour
