Jas Pannu serves as the staff vice president of data and analytics for Carelon, an Elevance Health company. Jas and his team are currently focused on leveraging analytics and AI to transform and improve outcomes across the healthcare continuum, ensuring appropriate care is delivered at the right time and right place throughout the patient journey.
He is an accomplished technology professional and leader with progressive experience in analytics, enterprise software, digital transformation and business operations. Jas' strategy combines a customer obsessed approach with his passion for unlocking value from technology and data, which has helped him deliver data-driven products, analytics services, and digital solutions enabling growth and innovation at Fortune 50 companies.
A fun fact about Jas is that he has traveled to so many countries that he ran out of pages in his passport.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
While working for the military in Iraq, I was pulled into a project to help implement an ERP/EAM system which made me fall in love with tech, and ultimately shaped the past 20 years of my career.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
One of my guiding leadership principles is to empower and trust teams. This ensures teams try new things, fail fast, learn and adapt.
What is the greatest challenge your particular C-level role is facing today, and how are you addressing it?
The greatest challenge has been managing in a matrix organization with competing interests and priorities.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out in your C-level role?
The key to success is to be true to yourself, focus on the right things, and the rest takes care of itself.
How do you measure success as a leader?
Being customer obsessed, I measure my success through feedback, satisfaction, and impact I have on the stakeholders and customers I provide products and services for.
