Beyond AI Deployment — CIOs & CISOs as Business Value Leaders

AI has shifted from a technology initiative to a business imperative, increasing expectations for CIOs and CISOs to influence outcomes far beyond IT and cybersecurity. CEOs and boards are looking to technology leaders not only to securely deploy AI, but also to help shape strategy, improve decision-making, and contribute directly to business growth.

As accountability for AI outcomes expands, technology leaders must build stronger partnerships across the executive team, establish clear ownership models, and identify where AI can create the greatest business impact. This conversation focuses on how leading CIOs and CISOs are redefining their roles and driving enterprise value in the next phase of AI adoption.

Discussion Questions:

  • How have expectations from CEOs and boards changed as AI adoption has matured?
  • Where is AI creating tangible business value today, and how are you balancing value creation with governance, security, and risk management?
  • How are you defining accountability and ownership for AI outcomes across technology, security, risk, and business leaders?
  • What frameworks or criteria are you using to identify and prioritize AI opportunities that are most likely to drive business impact?
  • How are you building partnerships across the executive team to ensure AI initiatives align with strategic business goals and deliver measurable results?
